"It's Morphin Time!"

The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Cast

Austin St. John - Red Ranger (Tyrannosaurus)

The original Red Ranger, Austin St. John helped kicked the franchise to where it is today. Better known as Jason Lee Scott on the show, Austin was the Red Ranger and leader of the Power Rangers until he was replaced halfway through the second season with the new Red Ranger, Rocky. However, Jason did come back as the Gold Ranger in Zeo, made an appearance in the movie Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie, and came back as the original Red Ranger in the special episode "Forever Red". Since he's retired as a Power Ranger, Austin has became a paramedic and a firefighter and is now making appearances at comic conventions and the special convention Power Morphicon. Also be sure to check out his video here about his new upcoming project, Survival's End in which he is asking for YOUR help to make!

Amy Jo Johnson - Pink Ranger (Pterodactyl)

Kimberly Hart, the original Pink Ranger, was famously portrayed by Amy Jo Johnson. After the success of Power Rangers, Johnson got her fair share of media exposure which led to her having a pretty successful career after she left the franchise. She portrayed Kimberly until 1995 including Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie but then left the show, however she came back to reprise her role in Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie. Since then, you make recognize Johnson from the shows Felicity, The Division, and Flashpoint. She has also became a successful musician releasing three albums, directing short films, and even did a cool street performance recently in Toronto that you can check out here.

Walter Emanuel Jones - Black Ranger (Mastodon)

Zack Taylor, the original Black Ranger, was portrayed by Walter Jones. Zack was always a cool character on the show. However, Walter was written out of the show midway into the second season and was replaced by Johnny Yong Bosch (Adam) who too was a great addition to the series. Since he left the show he provided some voice acting for other Power Ranger episodes including Lost Galaxy and Wild Force portraying monsters and villains. You may also recognize Jones from the old Disney movie, Brink!. Jones has since had small roles in multiple TV shows, cameos in movies such as Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, commercials, and online web series. Jones continues to attend comic conventions and be a part of the Power Rangers phenomenon.

Fun fact: Jones is missing a finger and you can spot it in an episode of MMPR!

David Yost - Blue Ranger (Triceratops)

Billy Cranston was the Blue Ranger portrayed by David Yost on the series. Billy was always the "brains" of the team and ended up being the only original Power Ranger to remain on the series besides Tommy Oliver, played by Jason David Frank. Billy remained part of the Power Rangers universe all throughout MMPR, and reprised his role in Power Rangers Zeo but not as a Ranger, but as a 'technical adviser'. As seen in many interviews with Yost, he had reportedly walked off set during filming of MMPR due to harrassments and being a target for production crew and cast members for his sexual orientation of being gay. Besides the Power Ranger TV series, he reprised his role for the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie and has done some TV work including Alien Hunter and The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. David continues to attend conventions periodically and remains good friends with Jason David Frank.

Thuy Trang - Yellow Ranger (Saber-Tooth Tiger)

Trini Kwan was the original Yellow Ranger and was portrayed by Thuy Trang. Given to her as her first major role, the Yellow Ranger was originally cast to someone else for an unaired pilot. However, not satisfied they gave the role to Trang who was then played the character for almost two seasons. She, along with Austin St. John and Walter Jones left the show mid-way through the second season and was replaced by Karan Ashley, who was Alicia, the new Yellow Ranger. One other major role she played was one of the lead villains Kali, in the movie The Crow: City of Angels. Sadly, Thuy Trang died on September 3, 2001 in a car accident. The episode "Circuit Unsure" in Power Rangers Time Force was dedicated to her memory.

Jason David Frank - Green/White Ranger (Drgaonzord/White Tiger)

Arguably the most infamous Power Ranger of them all, Tommy Oliver portayed by Jason David Frank is still the Ranger that fans love the most. Considering the franchise has moved forward still 22 years later, JDF remains to embrace the Power Ranger life and remains as the icon of the Green and White Ranger. Debuting in the first season of MMPR, Tommy Oliver is introduced in a 5-episode arc titled, "Green With Evil". Here Tommy is turned from ordinary teenager to the Green Ranger by the evil Rita Repulsa. When the rest of the Rangers are able to break the spell, he then joins the team as the co-leader. But, as you may know Tommy went on and did SO much more for the series. In season two, a two-part episde titled, "White Light" when Zordon needs help defeating a monster and gives Tommy new powers and a new suit, making him the official new leader.

Since MMPR he moved to the next two series Power Rangers: Zeo and Power Rangers: Turbo as the Red Ranger. He also returned for Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie, and Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie. He returns once more as the Black Ranger in Power Rangers: Dino Thunder. Since his career in Power Rangers, JDF has embraced his martial arts heavily and has became a professional MMA fighter. JDF has also been very involved with Power Rangers fans through his Facebook by talking to them, giving away free memorabilia, and promoting Power Rangers and his new endeavors. Currently he is working with Bat in the Sun doing short films, filming his reality show My Morphin Life, and attends to major comic conventions all over the country. Recently he reprised his role as the Green Ranger in Power Rangers: Super Mega Force Legendary Battle.
